This type of ramen is making a huge splash in the New York dining scene. Instead of making a soupy ramen (the kind that we all know and love), why not make a rich, creamy version instead? I removed most of the broth from this ramen dish and added a healthy amount of butter, along with America’s favorite hot sauce: Sriracha.
Total Prep and Cooking Time: 10 minutes
- 1 packet beef-flavored ramen
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon Sriracha (plus more for garnish)
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Cook your ramen according to the package instructions but do NOT add in the flavor packet. Once the ramen is cooked, drain it from the water and reserve half of the cooking water. Add half of the flavor packet, 4 tablespoons room temperature butter, 1 teaspoon Sriracha and ½ teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes to your noodles. Add in 3-4 tablespoons of the reserved water. Taste and adjust the seasonings as necessary. Serve hot.
